  Club Insurance

  I have another operational question but this time related club insurance.

  Our general liability insurance covers club events, but have become more restrictive over the years. I would like to gain some insight into what other SU/SAs offer.

  1. Does your SU/SA provide insurance
     coverage for student clubs hosting events? If so, what type of coverage is
     offered?
  2. Are alcohol-related events covered under the
     insurance policy, especially if club members are serving the alcohol themselves?
  3. In cases where alcohol is served, are there
     any limitations or restrictions on the number of such events clubs can
     host throughout the year?
  4. Does your union recommend or require that
     clubs use third-party vendors (with their own liability insurance) for
     serving alcohol, instead of having club members serve at events?
  5. Is off-campus coverage provided for club
     events involving alcohol?
